The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has hired Nathan Schneider as the assistant coach for the Men’s Basketball program.
“We are very excited to have Nathan back with the program,” said head men’s basketball coach Jesse DeLoof. “He was a major part of our rebuild and will only add to our program with his experience at Gannon and desire to win.”
Schneider, who graduated from Pitt-Bradford in 2023, was the Panther’s star player for two seasons. Over 52 games played, Schneider scored 21.9 points per game and added 10.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest. He reached the 1000-point milestone in 45 games with the Panthers.
Schneider was the 2022-23 Pitt-Bradford Male Athlete of the Year, named 1st Team All-AMCC twice, winning the AMCC Player of the Week Award 7 times.
After graduating, Schneider used a graduate transfer to play his final year of collegiate basketball at Division II Gannon. Schneider played in 35 games for the Golden Knights, tallying 7.9 points, and 2.3 rebounds per game.
“I’m very excited to be back with the program,” said Schneider. “I hope to work with Coach DeLoof and continue our climb up the conference standings and move into regional and national recognition.”
Schneider takes over for former assistant Kian Boroujerdi, now the Director of Basketball Operations at Division I Albany.
