COUDERSPORT — The 56th Annual Potter Tioga Maple Festival, sponsored by the Coudersport Chamber of Commerce and Potter Tioga Maple Producers, will be held May 3 and 4 at the Courthouse Square.
“The committee has been working for months planning this year’s event and we are excited that many of their favorite things are returning,” chamber representatives said.
Potter Tioga Maple Producers will of course have its large tent set up where festival goers can purchase all the maple products you are interested in taking home with you, including maple cotton candy and maple milkshakes.The festival’s new basket raffle will be set up there; tickets can be purchased at the chamber of commerce’s tent. The drawing will be held
Saturday night at the Gazebo.
Vendors will set up around the square with homemade crafts and direct sales items along with informational vendors, many food vendors and ways participants can try their luck. The kids can enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo and their choice of two bounce houses.
New this year, dance the night away both evenings. Gold In Them Hills, featuring John Stilson, Rich Ordway, Dan Butler, Cassidy Peffer, Julie Bailey and Rich Snyder, will perform 6 to 9 p.m. May 3+, while Dollar Short with Dan Butler, Brian Munkes, Chad Jones and Chuck Yeager will belt out some old-time rock and roll from 6 to 9 p.m. May 4. Danny’s Whiskey Wagon will offer adult beverages.
The popular pastime pickleball joins the festival this year, set up on North East Street. Check out the action, find out why it’s so popular and perhaps join a game or two.
The annual favorite Maple Festival Parade will kick off at 3 p.m. May 4, traveling down Main Street from Allegany Avenue to West Fourth Street. The parade will feature marching bands, floats, Shriners go-karts, antique cars and other entries as well as the pets and – new – kids’ bike parades.
Eulalia Lodge 342 F&AM will sponsor the Pancake Breakfast at the Consistory Dining Room from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday along with the Car & Truck Show in the Consistory parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“You won’t want to miss this fun-filled weekend event,” chamber representatives said.
