Despite a great day at the range, the Bradford Bird Busters fell short to the Black Forest Falcons’ near perfect day, losing 188-185.
Wyatt Stark led the Bird Busters with a team-high score of 24 on Tuesday. Evan Elmore, Tommy Langdon Jr., Maverick Smith, Baylee Stark, Bryce Thomas, Edward Youmans and Sean Ward all fell closely behind, each registering 23s against Black Forest. However, the Falcons proved to just be a little more locked in, as four shooters ended with a score of 24 and four others clocking in 23s.
Smethport Trap Team 182, Otto-Eldred Bird Dawgs 168
DUKE CENTER — In the second-to-last meet of the season, the Smethport Trap Team showcased their impressive skills, taking down O-E with elite-level accuracy.
Colton Furgeson had the best day at the range with a near-perfect score of 24. Brayden Cosper, Jackie Davis, Konor Miller, Elizabeth Slade, and Aiden Tanner each earned a 23, Damyan Baker earned a 22 and Owen Szuba finished out the top 8 with a score of 21.
For the Bird Dawgs, the top shooters were Tayton Roys and Sebastian Zona each with a score of 23, while Abram Austin, Nick Brown, Gavin Silvis and Korrie Turek each shot a 21. Braiden Greenman and Tyler McElhatten each ended with 19s against Smethport.
All teams in the Southern Tier League will travel to Bradford Gun Club to finish out the season with a 50-bird shoot on Tuesday, April 23.
