The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford honored 50 students for a variety of academic achievements at its annual Honors Convocation held Friday.
Local students among those recognized were: Marvellous Agbanusi, sophomore, biology, Sophomore Academic Excellence Award; Gretchen Henneman, senior, early-level education (preK-4), Outstanding Education Student Award; Diane Null, senior, interdisciplinary arts, Robert C. Laing Creative Arts Award for Music; and Chiamaka Urama, freshman, accounting, Freshman Academic Excellence Award, all of Bradford.
Also honored were: Brianna Heller of Duke Center, sophomore, applied mathematics, Sophomore Academic Excellence Award; Chelsea Thomas of Eldred, senior, environmental studies, Janet McCauley Award for Outstanding Student Achievement in Behavioral and Social Sciences; Alexis Port of James City, freshman, psychology, Freshman Academic Excellence Award; Abigail Deane of Kane, freshman, psychology, Freshman Academic Excellence Award; Aiden Hulings of Kane, graduated, computer information systems and technology, Zippo Outstanding Computer Information Systems and Technology Student Award; Madelyn Kinney of Kane, freshman, early-level education (preK-4), Freshman Academic Excellence Award; Kayla Challingsworth of Kersey, senior, English education 7-12, Senior Academic Excellence Award; John Eckstrom of Mount Jewett, sophomore, environmental studies, Sophomore Academic Excellence Award; Arnold Rodzevic, Mount Jewett, sophomore pre-dental medicine, Sophomore Academic Excellence Award; Olivia Freer of Port Allegany, senior, environmental science, Outstanding Student Achievement Award for Physical and Computational Sciences; Wyatt Ginther of St. Marys, freshman, radiological science, Freshman Academic Excellence Award; Allison Gutowski of St. Marys, senior accounting and business management, PICPA Excellence in Accounting Award; and Rachel Mertz of St. Marys, senior, accounting, Senior Academic Excellence Award and IMA Outstanding Accounting Student Award.
