KANE — The owner of the home from which a Kane drug dealer was operating has been charged by the McKean County Drug Task Force.
Robert W. Dyne, 57, of 330 Cherry St., is charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors.
McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said Friday that Dyne owned the home where convicted drug dealer Catherine Morrison was living, and selling drugs from. Morrison was recently sentenced to serve time in state prison for delivery of fentanyl, xylazine and methamphetamine as well as dealing in unlawful proceeds related to drug sales, all felonies.
Shaffer said reports had been made to the task force that Morrison was “trafficking large amounts of drugs in the Kane area,” which led to an investigation and her arrest. Her residence, which was owned by and shared with Dyne, was searched Oct. 24 at the time of Morrison’s arrest.
According to the criminal complaint, methamphetamine and marijuana were seized from the residence, along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Dyne denied knowing that Morrison was selling drugs from the residence, but said he did know there were drugs there.
Chief County Detective Ryan Yingling filed the charges against Dyne. District Judge David Engman arraigned Dyne and set bail at $5,000 unsecured.
Shaffer said, “Drug trafficking investigations continue. If you suspect illegal drug activity, please report them to the McKean County Drug Task Force at the DA’s Office: (814) 887-3312 or McKeanDA.org.”
