Kyler Hogue and Jacob Abers (second to left and center), carpentry students in Spencer Pehonsky’s (second to right) class at Bradford Area High School, created more than 40 blank signs for Kids and Cancer for its upcoming Ski for Cancer. They presented them Thursday morning to Bill Black, Kids and Cancer president, far left; and Jimmy Copeland Sr., Kids and Cancer Committee member, far right. Ski for Cancer attendees can purchase as a donation to Kids and Cancer, which would then be used to display and honor the names of cancer survivors, current warriors or those who have passed after their brave journey with cancer. “The Kids and Cancer Committee could not be more appreciative of the talent and time these students put into helping the cause,” said Bill Black, president. The committee, he said, hopes to see everyone at the annual event, held at The Westline Inn beginning at 9 a.m. Feb. 24.
