COFFEE: Straightforward or psycho? Tribune News Service (TNS) recently published an article regarding what a cup of coffee says about its drinker.
“It’s cold outside. Bad weather is almost certainly on the way. It’s a good morning to fix a hot cup of coffee and sit at a window sipping. But, turns out, how you take that coffee might say a whole lot about what is going through your mind as you head into the day.
That is particularly the case if you take your coffee straight black.
Don’t believe it? Just give it a quick Google.
One coffee site says that folks who take their coffee straight black ‘are often straightforward, no-nonsense individuals who enjoy minimalism in their lives.’
Nothing wrong with that.
Of course, there is also reportedly a whole study out that says that if you take your coffee straight black, well … it says you could be a psychopath. Researchers at the University of Innsbruck in Australia came up with that conclusion after reportedly surveying more than 1,000 adults about food and flavor and following with personality tests.
What they reportedly found was that people who preferred bitter flavors tended to be a little more psycho. In fact, the report said that folks who really liked the bitter flavors were closely associated with ‘everyday sadism.’
So, if you are sitting there sipping your black coffee, it might be time to check yourself. And if you are sitting there sipping your coffee with creamer and sugar but your significant other is sipping their black cup of coffee … keep your head on a swivel.
And if you are both sipping lattes, apparently, you can go ahead and relax because you are both ‘comfort seekers who value relaxation.’”
