A Westfield man was sent to McKean County Jail for allegations including rape of an infant.
Steven Paul Baker, 25, is charged with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and statutory sexual assault, first-degree felonies; sexual assault and another charge of a sexual nature, both second-degree felonies; and indecent assault of a person less than 13, a third-degree felony.
According to the criminal complaint, a juvenile reported Baker had indecent contact with her. On Wednesday, Baker spoke to Coudersport-based state police and said he “made a mistake about four years ago” when the juvenile was an infant of two to four months old and living in Port Allegany.
Baker was arraigned Wednesday before on-call District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail on $225,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Dec. 21.
