A Bradford man was sent to jail after a drug-related arrest Wednesday night on Walker Avenue.
Vincent Gagliardi, 31, of 136 Kennedy St., Apt. 2, is charged with four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, felonies; possessing an instrument of crime, a first-degree misdemeanor; four counts of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, at 3:46 p.m. Dec. 13, at 24 Walker Ave., Bradford Police were dispatched to a report of drug use taking place in the apartment bathroom with multiple suspects. Officers took a man into custody who had an outstanding warrant and found him to be in possession of drug items, and two other men, including Gagliardi, came out of the bathroom.
A police officer was escorted into the bathroom by the resident of the apartment and found in plain view a white bag containing white powder in the trash can, and a black digital scale with a powder-like substance on it. Police asked them who it belonged to, but no one spoke up, the complaint stated.
When police searched the men, Gagliardi was found to be in possession of 6 grams of cocaine, $188 in cash, two cellular devices, one sandwich bag containing half of a copper-coated scouring pad and one glass pipe with burnt residue, the complaint stated. The other men told police the items in the bathroom also belonged to Gagliardi. Those items included a bag containing prescription Vicodin, .43 grams of cocaine on the scale and 2.45 grams of cocaine in a bag, along with drug paraphernalia, the complaint stated.
Gagliardi was arraigned Wednesday night before District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
