A Bradford man was sent to McKean County Jail after arraignment Monday for allegedly stealing a truck from a cleaning company last month.
Brandon Carey, 19, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and criminal conspiracy at theft, both second-degree felonies.
According to the criminal complaint, in October, Foster Township Police were called to a report of a transit van that had been stolen from B&T Contractors on South Kendall Avenue. It was noted the van could be electronically tracked, and was currently located on Foster Hollow.
Carey and another man were seen on surveillance video at the business, and were pulled over that same night by a Bradford City Police officer. Both Carey and the other man were identified by the policeman.
Carey was arraigned Monday before District Judge Rich Luther and remanded to jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. Dec. 13.
