Northwest Bank donates to Habitat for Humanity

COUDERSPORT — Northwest Bank, a full-service financial institution offering a complete line of business and personal banking products, announced a $15,000 charitable donation to Potter County Habitat for Humanity.

The bank also served as a gold sponsor of PCHFH’s Falling Leaves Outdoor Show — an annual showcase, festival and parade raising funds in support of the nonprofit organization.

The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) funds provided by Northwest Bank will aid in Potter County Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide decent, affordable housing throughout the community. This includes new home builds as well as home repairs, winterizations, installation of accessibility devices like ramps, and partnered work with Salvation Army and A Way Out to provide community members who have endured housing insecurity with furniture and other necessities.

“Our commitment to charitable giving, as part of the Northwest Charitable Foundation, serves as the cornerstone of our identity as a community bank,” said Julie Marasco, region president. “It is our privilege to help strengthen the neighborhoods across our footprint and contribute to the mission of community organizations like Potter County Habitat for Humanity — providing homes to those in need.”
