The Bradford Family YMCA Barracudas began their dual meet season with a win over Eastside YMCA on Saturday.

Both teams showed lots of enthusiasm for their first meet but the Barracudas came up with a 395-239 win.

“Our team has grown in numbers this year than over the past several seasons, with many of our younger swimmers new to the program but they swam very well for their first meet,” said head coach Patrick Hollenbeck. “Many of the returnees to the team had good time drops from last year or started off where they had left off at the end of the season.”

Bradford had seven swimmers qualify for the Western District PA swim meet which will be held at the Spire Institute in Geneva, OH in March. District Qualifiers were Bella Rhoades, Karsyn-Gracey Dalton, Sami Vecchio, Micah Johnson, Landon Johnson, Olivia Rhoades, Kael Riekofsky. The Barracudas are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 4 when they travel to Oil City.
