ROULETTE — A class for fire service on solar panel awareness will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Roulette Fire Station.
Pre-registration is required by Nov. 9. Students age 16 and older may email registration to pcema@pottercountypa.net or call (814) 274-8900, ext. 555.
The instructor will be Guy Arndt. There is no cost for Potter County students. There is a $50 fee for out-of-county students. There must be 10 students registered to have the class.
Potter County ESC has adopted a no-show billing fee.
This course is intended for emergency responders, as well as other private or municipal agencies. The course is an awareness-level program covering system types, code compliant installations, associated hazards and safe work practices near solar PV systems. The course will introduce students to solar PV system operations, components, design and recommended practices.
