Who wouldn’t want to see the only baseball team to ever play in kilts?

The Savannah Bananas exhibition baseball team says it has only one goal and that is “to make baseball fun.”

“Whatever is normal, we do the exact opposite.”

The team plays “banana ball” and performs choreographed dances to popular music, acrobatics and endless antics that include the fans, the umpires and everyone else. (Similar to the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team).

Games are limited to two hours. If a fan catches a foul ball, it is an automatic out.

The Banana Ball World Tour starts in February 2024 and includes an stop at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Sept. 21.

Fan, and “potassium enthusiasts” must sign up for a ticket lottery.

The ticket lottery closes on Dec. 1, 2023. A random drawing will be held two months prior to events. Those selected will have the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets.
