With the game on the line, Leah Calkins stepped up to the plate for the Bradford Red minor softball team. The Red were down a run, leaving the pressure of the game up to her and her bat.
As the pitch came, Calkins found contact that resulted in a triple to bring in Braylee Blauser and Onalee Hammack, sealing a sixth inning 5-4 win over Bradford Grey.
Calkins also tallied a single and double in the win while she, Blauser and Nora Werlau shared time on the mound, allowing a combined six hits and striking out 17. For the Greys, Emma Frank went 2-for-3 with a single and double and Izzy had a double and a two-run single during her three appearances at the plate.
