BIRDS: Jack Bell from Kane called us on a very snowy Tuesday to tell us about some pretty confused robins.
“I just saw two robin red breasts,” Jack said, “right over there in a snow bank.”
These harbingers of spring picked a pretty wintry day to show themselves.
“They made it up here on their own,” Jack said. We have to figure that spring has to be on its way in the weather as well as on the calendar.

GOOD NEWS: We saw a bit of good news we had to share — the dates for this year’s Festa Italiana in Bradford have been set! It’s going to be held Aug. 10, 11 and 12.
It’s pretty great to see the comments on Festa’s social media, of former residents saying things like, “I was hoping to see the date soon because I start a new job on Monday but already gave them a heads up that I would need time off to go back to my hometown in August.”
That’s one of the best parts of Festa Italiana — Bradford’s unofficial-official reunion weekend!
There’s a whole lot of work that goes into making that weekend so memorable, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to say thank you to everyone who brings Festa to life each year.
Just seeing those tri-colored tents going up on Festival Way in August is enough to get people’s mouths watering for all that delicious cuisine to be found. Actually, just talking about it is making us yearn for some wans, cannoli, rigatoni, fried dough, and meatball sandwiches.
After all, today is National Meatball Day!
