    Women’s

    Literary Club

The Women’s Literary Club met at Hill Memorial Church on Friday. The meeting was called to order by President Mary Lou Detweiler. She welcomed one guest, Margie Holland. Linda Gault and Martha Torrey were accepted as new members of the club.

Vice-President, Carol Kirsh introduced our speaker Heidi Passmore, executive director of the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce.

The BACC has created a three year strategic plan for Bradford. This plan focuses on enhancing community impact and a return on investments for the members of the Chamber of Commerce.

A weekly electronic newsletter, The Chamber Scoop, has been set up to help people know what is going on in Bradford. The Chamber is doing more marketing through social media. A monthly newsletter is produced which includes upcoming events in Bradford. The Chamber is also starting a homeless task force to explore ways to combat homelessness.

Thanks goes to the Tea Committee, Sue Carns, Kathy Herzog, Ann Esh, Holly Puglio and Martha Rhodes. As always the decorations were beautiful.

Our next meeting will be Card Day. It will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 11, at Hill Memorial Church.
