McKean County Special Olympics will host a 5K Spark Run Sept. 17 in an effort to raise funds and awareness for local Special Olympics Pennsylvania ahtletes.
All runners commit to, “Ignite the spark to make a difference.” All training and competition opportunities are provided free of charge to the athletes and their families, enabling all to experience the benefits of Special Olympics that extend well beyond the playing field.
The event, which is supported by McKean County law enforcement and first responders, will begin at 33 Barbour St. Registration is $25, and begins at 8 a.m. For more information, visit give. specialolympicspa.org/sparkrunmckean.
