PORT ALLEGANY — Jordyn Abernathy scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory for the Wellsboro girls soccer team, as the Lady Hornets defeated Port Allegany in Tuesday inter-district action.
Brielle Budd made 10 saves in goal for Port, while Annie Gehman made six saves for Wellsboro.

ULYSSES — Port Allegany kept pressure on Northern Potter throughout Tuesday’s victory.
Despite a strong defensive showing by the Panthers, Port was too much, as Justin Dunn scored two goals to power a United victory.
Port out-shot NoPo, 31-4, and earned eight corner kicks while not allowing a corner to the Panthers. Aidan Emerick added a goal and an assist for Port, which carried a one-goal advantage into halftime before keeping on the offensive throughout the game’s late stages.
Alex Schott added an assist for United, while Aidan Clark made three saves in goal. Malachi Lewis made 11 saves for NoPo, while Ty Daniels scored the Panthers’ lone goal.

SMETHPORT — Rylee Haight’s 57 earned medalist honors for Kane, but Smethport won Tuesday’s match, led by Olivia Schott’s 58.
Hope Peterson added a 63 for the Lady Hubbers.

SMETHPORT — Coudersport’s Kevin Sherry finished more than two minutes ahead of his closest competitor, crossing the finish line in 17:01 to lead the Coudy boys to a team victory.
Andrew Coriaty (Oswayo Valley) was second in 19:05, Noah Gabreski (Coudy) was third in 20:02, Brandon Crosby (Coudy) was fourth in 20:21 and Abram Cook (Oswayo Valley) was fifth in 20:35.
Rounding out the top 10 were Carson Dunn (Smethport), Noah Sherman (Northern Potter), Carl Bryant (Coudy), Ryan Coffman (Otto-Eldred) and Parker Sherry (Coudy).

SMETHPORT — Oswayo Valley’s Cheyenne Mehl ran away from Tuesday’s competition, winning by more than two minutes in a time of 21:03.
Northern Potter claimed the team victory, however, led by Rebecca Martin (23:19). Emma Chambers (Coudersport) was third in 24:31, Olivia Cook (Oswayo Valley) was fourth in 25:46 and Julia Rosenswie (Otto-Eldred) was fifth in 26:04.
Rounding out the top 10 were Harley Thompson (NoPo), Isla Lehmier (Smethport), Teah Howard (Smethport), Faith Miller (Smethport) and Marian Hamilton (NoPo).

ST. MARYS — Tori Newton’s 17 kills helped power Elk County Catholic to a four-set victory over Johnsonburg (25-18, 25-22, 25-27, 26-24).
Reagan Bauer and Maddie Bierley each added five kills for ECC, while Kiri Emmert dished out 27 assists and Lucy Klawuhn served up four aces.
