Bradford Speedway will host another full evening of racing Sunday, and will also feature its first Hall of Fame ceremony.
The night’s program, sponsored by DJ Jimmy of Olean, New York, will also feature a Hall Of Fame ceremony in which 16 people get inducted into Bradford Speedway’s 1st class.
Inductees include: Rod Biehler, Joe Schumaker, Mike Wonderling Sr, Mike “Mountain Man” Reed, Butch Talbot, Jim Peterson, Bill Layfield, Joe Layfield, John Layfield, Randy Taylor Sr, Jeff Hellwig, Rick Isadore, Jim Strahan, Pete Fredricks, Rich Kreamer, and Dave Schoonover.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will begin at 4 p.m., while DJ Jimmy’s program will begin at 2 p.m.
Racing will then include the Matco Tools RUSH Crate Late Models, Close Racing Supply RUSH Pro Mods, Bo Dobbie’s Auto Body Pure Stocks, Finger Lakes Reality Rehabbers Mini Stocks and Integrity Metal Fabrication and Repairs Kids Class.
Looking back at action from the Speedway so far, John Waters, Jeremy Wonderling and Kurt Stebbins have each scored a victory in the RUSH Crate Late Models. Wonderling holds the points lead over Stebbins.
In the pro mods, Steve Dixon has scored two victories so far and leads the points race over 2nd-place Rich “Critter” Hemphill. In the pure stocks, Josh Wilcox claimed his second victory of the year last week, taking the points lead from Mike Parmenter.
DJ Williams leads Anthony Schoonover by eight points in the mini stocks, while Dylan Strade sits in 3rd, Jeff Ganoung Jr is 4th and defending mini stock champion Trever Putt currently sits 5th.
In the kids class, Kaden Michael claimed his first feature win a week ago, and now leads in points over Brayden Williams.
Pit games open at noon and grandstands open at 2 p.m. Tony Van Pelt will drop the green flag at 5:15.
