McKean County residents and those in surrounding areas are more than likely tired of the white fluffy stuff falling from the sky, especially in the middle of April. For those tired of snow showers there is some promising news coming from the most recent forecast of the National Weather Service in State College.
Pertaining to the overall weather condition of the surrounding areas, “Improving is the main word,” according to Craig Evanego, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in State College,
According to the forecast, today the Bradford area will begin to see a warm up and it should be around 50 degrees.
There is a small chance of rain in the evening after 2 a.m. on Wednesday evening, which could continue into Thursday morning and taper off by 2 p.m. Although the rain may dampen the beginning of the afternoon Thursday, the high of 58 degrees and minimal cloudy coverage should make a delightful early evening.
On Thursday, and the future outlook, the weather is predicted to stay mild and become a little warmer each day, according to Evanego.
As for the remainder of the week — mind these forecasts may change dependant on weather patterns —Thursday’s high will be in the mid 50s with showers; Friday will mostly be sunny with a high around 62 degrees; and Saturday the temperatures will stay mildly warm with a high of 68 degrees mixed with possible rain.
Sunday would be a great day to plan an outdoor adventure since the high for the day is in the upper 70s, under sunny skies.
“It’s probably not going to be 80 degrees in Bradford anytime soon, but the weather is improving,” said Evanego.
