JOHNSONBURG — Julia Jones struck out seven batters while walking just one, leading the Johnsonburg softball team to a 16-0, three-inning victory over Smethport in each team’s season debut.

Anna Duffield homered for the Ramettes, Priscilla Ehrensberger added a double and Natalie Dunworth and Zoey Grunthaner each drove in three runs.

North Penn-Mansfield 15, Coudersport 5 (5 innings)

BLOSSBURG — Gavyn Ayers doubled and drove in a run for Coudersport during its season-opening loss to North Penn-Mansfield.

Garrett Kellert started the game on the mound for the Falcons, pitching three innings in which he struck out five batters and walked one. Karson Dominick homered for NP-M while Alex Davis added a double.
