ROBIN REPORT: Stanley Wolf, who lives east of Smethport on Open Brook Road, reported seeing a flock of 14 robins in his yard Monday morning. He said it was good to see them, and we agree. We hope that means good things for an early Spring.

HELP FOR STUTTERING: The Stuttering Foundation’s books are directed to parents of children who stutter, adults who stutter, speech pathologists, pediatricians, family physicians, nurses, health care professionals, hospitals, schools, clinics, day-care centers and all those concerned with the problem of stuttering.
Their DVDs feature some of the world’s leading therapists with children who stutter. Since the original publication, Foundation materials have reached millions of individuals around the world.
More than 70 million people worldwide stutter, yet stuttering remains misunderstood by most people,” said Jane Fraser, president of the Stuttering Foundation. “Myths such as believing people who stutter are less intelligent or suffer from psychological problems still persist despite research refuting these erroneous beliefs.”
Several books and DVDs produced by the 75-year-old nonprofit Stuttering Foundation are available free online under the “Resources” tab at www.stutteringhelp.org. For translations in various languages, see www.stutteringhelp.org/translations. For more information e-mail info@stutteringhelp.org.
TRAFFIC TRIVIA: The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation wants you to test your traffic knowledge with this trivia question: If you’re approaching an inoperable traffic light (completely unlit), how should you proceed?
Answer: If a traffic signal is out of operation, drivers should stop and treat it as if there are stop signs in all directions. Whichever driver approached the signal first determines the right-of-way.
