The boil water advisory for all customers from Harrisburg Run to the base of Olean Road and Derrick Road remains in effect, Bradford Water Authority Executive Director Steve Disney announced Thursday.
Water Quality samples from Wednesday have all passed, similar site samples were collected Thursday. The water authority expects to receive those results this morning, Disney said. Samples need to be negative for two consecutive days in order to lift the boil water advisory that is in effect.
All customers in this area are advised to use bottled water and bagged ice, and boil their water for washing dishes, food preparation, oral hygiene, making ice or drinking. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using to kill potentially harmful bacteria that may be present. For more information, a copy of the boil water notice is available for viewing at www.bradfordwater.com.
Customers will be advised when the boil water notice is lifted or if further information becomes available.
