The Guidance Center has welcomed the additions of Karen Kline and Mary Anne Polucci-Sherman to their team of professional staff.
Tina Cary, senior director of provider & community relations stated, “Both of these women have significant behavioral health experience that will strengthen the treatment offered to individuals in McKean County.”
Kline, a certified registered psychiatric nurse practitioner, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and began her career working as a nurse in local hospitals while completing her CRNP education & training through Walden University. Her focus on patient and family education allows her to combine her clinical expertise with teaching individuals how to advocate and care for themselves. Cary also reported, “Kline has allowed us to fill a void in having psychiatric services in the Kane area. With the addition of Karen, we are now providing outpatient counseling and psychiatric services in our Kane office so individuals do not need to travel to Bradford.”
Polucci-Sherman, a licensed psychologist, has over 34 years of clinical experience. Most recently, she worked in behavioral health services at Bradford Regional Medical Center. She also operated her own private practice for over 18 years. Cary reported, “At The Guidance Center, Polucci-Sherman will assist in providing psychological testing as requested, along with revamping the intake processes. Her experience in leading groups will also allow for more clinical groups to be offered. Mary Anne’s positive attitude and caring spirit is contagious.”
Denise Bean, Executive Director of TGC, commented, “Karen and Mary Anne have a strong commitment and investment in our local communities. We are fortunate to have them within the organization not only to provide services to clients but also assist in mentoring other staff. I am thrilled that they are part of the team.”
The Guidance Center provides services to over 6000 individuals/families each year and is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic.
