A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for an alleged assault at his residence Wednesday morning.
Cory Joseph Chatmon, 23, of 95 State St., is charged with strangulation, a second-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and harassment, a summary offense.
According to the criminal complaint, at 6:46 a.m. Wednesday, Bradford City Police were called to Chatmon’s residence for a reported physical domestic incident. The female victim said she had been involved in an argument with Chatmon, items were thrown and then he knocked her onto the bed and choked her.
When police took Chatmon into custody, he was in possession of Suboxone, the criminal complaint alleged.
Chatmon was arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and remanded to jail in lieu of $10,000 percentage bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 26.
