In the past week’s time, there have been 340 new cases of COVID-19 in the region.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention categorize the entire state of Pennsylvania — and most of the nation — as being at a high rate of community transmission of the virus.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as of Thursday, McKean County has had 4,258 positive cases; one week earlier, that number was 4,137. There have been a total of 76 deaths.
Elk County has had 3,461 positive cases; one week earlier, that number was 3,346. There have been a total of 48 deaths.
Cameron County has had 395 positive cases; one week earlier, there had been 368. There have been a total of 10 deaths.
Potter County has had 1,467 positive cases; one week earlier, there were 1,390. There have been a total of 29 deaths.
As for vaccines, in McKean County, there have been 2,875 partially vaccinated and 14,585 fully vaccinated. There have been 89 people who have received a booster dose since Aug. 13 as well, the health department indicated.
In Elk County, there have been 1,310 partially vaccinated and 14,535 fully vaccinated. There have been 426 who have received a booster dose.
In Potter County, there have been 730 partially vaccinated and 4,808 fully vaccinated. There have been 36 people who have received a booster dose.
In Cameron County, there have been 214 people who have been partially vaccinated, 2,114 fully vaccinated and 28 who have received a booster dose.
