Punsxutawney kept Tuesday night’s match at Bradford High close through three sets.
Led by senior Alix Ordiway, however, the Lady Owls proved to be too much, and swept their way to a victory (27-25, 25-22, 25-19).
Ordiway recorded 10 kills and two blocks in the win.
“She came to life tonight,” Bradford coach Steve Daniels said. “She’s kept it going since (Saturday’s) Brockway tournament.”
Emma Swanson added six kills and a block for the Lady Owls, and Kalie Dixon racked up 21 assists, five kills and two blocks.
“They gave us a run for our money,” Daniels said. “Their outsides had a pretty good plan all night and had us moving around defensively, but we finally got our blocks on them.”
Otto-Eldred 3, Austin 0
DUKE CENTER — Powered by Anna Merry’s 10 aces and 11 assists, Otto-Eldred beat Austin in straight sets (25-12, 25-17, 25-9).
Katie Sheeler added three kills, three blocks and eight digs for the Lady Terrors while Brianna Silvis racked up three kills, three digs and three aces, and Kayle Rhinehart tallied three kills.
Galeton 3, Smethport 0
SMETHPORT — Olivia Rohrbaugh’s 13 kills, 10 digs and a block led Galeton over Smethport in straight sets (26-24, 28-26, 25-11).
Alli Macensky added on six kills, two blocks and seven aces for Galeton, while Johanna Dickerson tallied seven kills 12 assists and nine digs, and Lauren Sauley tacked on 10 digs, four kills and 12 assists.
Kaylee Swanson had four aces, nine digs, six kills and a block for Smethport, while Baylee Fitzsimmons tallied two aces, 24 digs and two assists. Madi Faes had an ace, three digs, 12 assists and five service points for the Lady Hubbers, while Alyn Thomas’ five service points came in addition to her six kills, four blocks, one ace and one assist.
