President Mandy Miles-Rudolph said the group decided to start bringing coffeehouse events to local communities in the spring of 2020. So far, they have held four.
“We are always looking for new areas and opportunities to bring our message of hope, love and restoration,” she said.
Next up, the inaugural Cruisin’ to Recovery Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Kane Family Drive-In Theater, 6627 US-6 in Kane.
Registration for the show is from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., with judging at 4 p.m. Pre-registration for cars, trucks and motorcycles is $10, while registration at the door is $12. General admission to the event is free.
Judging will be awarded by the participants for the following categories: first, second, and third place for cars, trucks and motorcycles, best in show, people’s choice and kid’s choice.
Live entertainment, including Painting Freedom and Chord of Three Strands, will be provided throughout the entire event, explained Rudolph.
“We will be updating our Facebook page with the full list of performers,” she added. “We will have live bands, artists, public speakers and more.”
In addition to the entertainment, BTC will also be holding a basket raffle and 50/50.
Rudolph said volunteers and donations are welcome for either event.
“We are always in need of volunteers and donations to help us in our efforts to bring our message of hope, love and freedom to our local communities,” she said. “Together we can make a difference. Our goal is to break chains through God’s love and set the captives free.”
“All proceeds benefit Break the Chains Coalition in our efforts to break the chains of addiction, oppression, depression, self-harm and suicide,” she added.
