MOUNT JEWETT — In celebration of the Fourth of July holiday weekend Kinzua Bridge State Park will offer a variety of programs highlighting the history of the park and the Fourth of July.
Attendees should dress for the weather, as all programs will be held outdoors. Program participants are asked to practice social distancing in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Those who have questions may contact the park office at (814) 778-5467.
“History of the Bridge” will be held at 11 a.m. on July 3, featuring the history of The Kinzua Bridge. Participants should meet out on the skywalk.
An archery program will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, where individuals can practice their archery skills in a safe and fun environment. The park will cover the necessary safety procedures of shooting a bow, as well as the technical skills
involved in hitting a target. Target and bows are provided.
Then, on July 4 and 5 at noon, a “Veteran’s Tribute” program will be held, where they talk about the Fourth to honor the country’s birthday and the veterans that made sacrifices for her. Veterans are welcome to attend. Participants should meet near the flag.
