KANE — The Kane Area Food Pantry monthly distribution will be on Friday, June 25, from noon until 4 p.m. at the St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane.
The food pantry will distribute pre-packed boxes at the corner of Chase and Haines Streets in a drive-thru style. There should be no more than two households per carload, and participants should have a space cleared in the trunk or back seat for the boxes. New clients are asked to call 598-6162 or 594-6918 before June 23 in order to ensure enough boxes are prepared.
Anyone who wishes to receive food items are asked to come at the following times, according to the first letter of their last name. For June, the schedule is:
• noon to 1 p.m. S through Z
• 1 to 2 p.m. A through E
• 2 to 3 p.m. F through K
• 3 to 4 p.m. L through R
Participants must come during their scheduled time, or after that time. Also, they should bring proof of identity and address. Only people living in the Kane Area School District are eligible.
