The race for Bradford Township supervisor will continue in the November general election, as candidate Laree Sue Behan earned enough write-in votes to appear on the Democratic ballot.
Lisa Pratt, McKean County director of elections, confirmed the information on Friday.
Lori Johnson won the Republican nomination, so the two candidates will face off again in November.
The write-in vote totals were as follows: Behan, 43; Johnson, 34; Jeffrey Carson, 20; Robert Burrell, 9.
In the City of Bradford, no one received enough write-in votes to appear on the Democratic ballot for the council. Tom Riel had received the most write-in votes, with 23; 100 votes would be needed to make the ballot in the city.
On Friday, Rob Ferguson, the candidate who was unsuccessful in his bid for the Republican nod for the ballot, announced his intention to wage a write-in campaign for city council in the general election. He had received 10 write-in votes on the Democratic ticket, and 265 votes on the Republican ticket.
In the race for Mount Jewett Mayor, Kally Barr Hughes received enough write-in votes for the Republican nomination. No one received enough votes for the Democratic nod.
For Mount Jewett council, four seats were up for election, and two Republican candidates were running — Thomas Geer, who received 105 votes, and Francis Auriemmo Jr. with 48. Chris Park received enough write-in votes to nab a spot on the Republican ballot for November as well, with 38 tallies.
In Kane Borough, Linda Kerek received 15 write-in votes to nab the Republican nomination for the ballot for the two-year council seat.
In Ceres Township, Greg Maxson received 11 write-in tallies, and will appear on the Democratic ballot for the 6-year supervisor’s seat.
In Corydon Township, Raymond Douglass received 10 write-in votes, enough to appear on the Democratic ballot for the 6-year supervisor’s seat.
In Hamilton Township, Nora Yasurek received 10-write-in votes to appear on the Democratic ballot for the 6-year supervisor’s term.
Robert Wheeler received 41 write-in tallies to appear on the Keating Township Democratic ballot for the 6-year term of supervisor.
In Norwich Township, Edward Hairston II received 20 write-in votes for the 6-year term of supervisor on the Democratic ballot.
Ryan Wilson received 20 write-in votes, enough for the Democratic ballot for the 6-year term of Wetmore Township supervisor. He was the Republican nominee as well, with 170 votes.
