Back-to-back four-run innings in the fifth and sixth helped Oswayo Valley seal a 13-5 win over Bradford Tuesday at Pitt-Bradford.
Hannah Winseck powered OV’s 13-run, 9-hit day by going 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Macy West, Madelynn Evingham and Johanna Dickerson each recorded two RBI for the Lady Green Wave (10-4), while Makenzie Mesler led the team with three runs scored. Brooke George and Mackenzie George each had a hit and two runs scored.
OV opened the game by scoring two runs in the first and second innings to take an early 4-0 lead. The Lady Owls (2-13) then answered back in the bottom of the second, plating three to cut their deficit down to a single run.
That was the closest Bradford would get as OV went on to plate four runs in both the fifth and sixth innings.
Kalie Dixon led Bradford’s offense with two hits and an RBI. Kelsey Deming and Olivia Angell each recorded an RBI, while Deming, Madison Dougherty and Adrienne Angell each had a hit.
On the mound, Adrienne Angell pitched five innings and allowed four earned runs on seven hits and five walks allowed with five strikeouts. Dougherty pitched the final two innings and recorded three strikeouts. She allowed three earned runs on two hits and five walks.

MT. JEWETT — Kane used a three-run sixth inning to distance itself from Bradford on its way to a home victory over the Owls.
The Wolves (11-6) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings before Bradford plated two runs in the fourth to make it a one-run game.
Andrew Jekielek hit a two-run RBI single in the sixth and later scored after Carson Whiteman reached first on an error. Jekielek led Kane with two hits and four RBI. He also hit a two-run homer during the bottom of the first. Harley Morris scored two runs.
Whiteman dominated Bradford on the mound, recording 14 strikeouts and just one walk in 6.2 innings. He also allowed just two runs (both unearned) on two hits. Morris closed out the game after Whitemam reached the 100-pitch count.
“We faced a really good pitcher today and the kids had some good at-bats but just couldn’t get anything rolling,” Bradford coach Eric Haynoski said. “Whiteman did a great job hitting spots and kept our guys off balance all game.”
Austen Davis, Ashton Smith, Brett Danias-Skaggs and Jack Wells had the hits for Bradford, as Davis and Nolan Roulo scored the team’s runs.
Mike Greenberg pitched 5.2 innings for the Owls (5-11) and allowed six runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks to go with four strikeouts.
“I was really happy with how Greenberg pitched,” Haynoski said.

ELDRED — Josh Rhinehart pitched a perfect, three-inning game and Otto-Eldred plated 12 runs in the third en route to a lopsided victory over Oswayo Valley.
Rhinehart retired all nine batters he faced, striking out eight of them.
Offensively, Jake Merry and Cole Sebastian each had a home run, two hits, two runs scored and three RBI. T.J. VanScoter also tallied two hits to go with an RBI and three runs scored, while Max Splain recorded two RBI and two runs scored. The home runs by Merry and Sebastian occurred on back-to-back pitches.
Brendan Magee also scored two runs with an RBI and Rhinehart and Andrew Schenfield each had an RBI. Wade Daniels, Jacob Coffman and Austin Cousins each scored a run as well.
For Oswayo Valley, Nik Bonney and Cayden Black combined to allow 15 runs (eight earned) on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
With a win against Cameron County today, the Terrors (9-4) can clinch a share of the Northern Allegheny League title with Coudersport.

SMETHPORT — Brandon Higley did it all for Smethport in the Hubbers’ nine-run win over Port Allegany.
Higley led the team at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored and pitched six solid innings — striking out eight and allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and four walks.
Alex Cole and Alex Ognen each recorded two hits for the Hubbers (6-7), as Ognen scored three runs and Kameron Rounsville tallied two RBI. Cole, Ognen, Travis Cooney and Chase Burdick each had an RBI, while Noah Lent scored two runs.
Rounsville pitched a scoreless seventh and recorded a strikeout.
Sawyer Prince led the Gators (9-7) with two hits, as Isaiah Caden and Carter Moses scored Port’s runs. Blaine Moses also recorded an RBI.
Prince and Drew Evens each pitched three innings on the mound and combined to allow nine earned runs on 10 hits and five walks with eight strikeouts.
