SMETHPORT — The Coudersport boys track team completed an undefeated season in the North Tier League to clinch the league title Monday.
A handful of Falcons won multiple events, led by Dalton Keglovits, who won the 400-meter dash and pole vault while running in Coudy’s winning 1600-meter and 3200-meter relays.
Josh Ross won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes for the Falcons, Andrew Page won the discus and javelin, and Brandt Kightlinger won the long jump and high jump.
Kevin Sherry added a win in the 3200-meter run for Coudy, and Vedder Conyer took home the 800-meter run, while each ran in the Falcons’ 3200-meter relay.
Parker Jack and Ryli Burritt each ran on Smethport’s winning 400-meter relay team, while Jack won the 110-meter hurdles and Burritt won the triple jump.
“(Coudersport) did a really nice job and they are deserving of winning the North Tier League,” Smethport coach Rick Woodring said. “I want to thank my seniors for a great season. They are great kids to work with. I want to thank all the kids — all of the boys and girls.”
In a closely contested girls meet, Port Allegany’s Alliyah Penick led all individual performers with wins in the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles and pole vault.
Kylie Welsh led a trio of multiple-event winners for Coudersport, as she took the 100-meter dash and javelin.
Rosalyn Page added wins in shot put and discus for the Lady Falcons, while Sarah Chambers won the long jump and triple jump.
