Jacob Mott of Bradford graduated Sunday, May 2, from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Sarah Batt of Eldred, Pa., was among several students to participate in Ignatian Scholarship Days at Canisius College, during the week of April 19.
The academic tradition, held virtually this year, highlights intellectual life on campus through examples of faculty-student scholarship. The program includes presentations, exhibits and presentations from students.
Batt, who is pursuing a degree in biology, gave a presentation titled “The Link Between Altruism and Personality.”

SLIPPERY ROCK — Adam Schauer of Ridgway won the Student Leader of the Year award, one of the awards presented during the Slippery Rock University Office for Student Engagement and Leadership 2020-21 Rising Star awards ceremony.
The ceremony was conducted virtually April 21.
Student Leader of the Year recognizes student leaders for their outstanding contributions to campuswide, co-curricular programs and leadership and organizational ability in helping plan and present programs. Schauer, who is the general manager of WSRU-FM, helped the organization position itself to better serve the SRU community through guidance in remote broadcasting and organization restructuring.

MANSFIELD — Brianna Roys of Port Allegany was part of a Mansfield University student team that took first place in the annual State System Startup Challenge for its Greenery Walls business idea.
PASSHE’s Startup Challenge is an opportunity for students attending one of the 14 state-owned universities to compete for prize money of up to $10,000 for their innovative ideas. Winners receive prize money to assist in making their dreams of becoming an entrepreneur come true.
The project was led by members of the Mansfield business student organization, Enactus.
Greenery Walls’ purpose is to provide materials for customers who want to create an indoor garden.
