PORT ALLEGANY — A seven-run first inning and a six-run third paved the way for a 14-2 victory for Port Allegany over Bradford Saturday in five innings.
Seven different players for the Lady Gators (2-5) batted in a run, with Marah Rush leading the way with four on the afternoon. Makayla Alcorn was behind her with three and Madeline Smith tallied two.
In addition to her four-RBI game, Rush allowed just two runs on five hits on the mound while striking out six batters and walking none.
Kalie Dixon and Alanna Benson each recorded an RBI for the Lady Owls (0-4) with Olivia Angell and Serenity Himes scoring Bradford’s two runs.
On the mound, Madison Dougherty and Dixon combined to give up 14 runs on nine hits and walked 10. They tallied six strikeouts with Dixon recording five of those.

Brockway 12, Smethport 1, 6 innings
SMETHPORT — Morgan Lindemuth tossed a six-inning no-hitter and went 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead Brockway to a win over Smethport.
Lindemuth gave up one unearned win during her outing while striking out 13 and walking five.
Grace Stewart also went 3-for-4 for the Lady Rovers and batted in a game-high four RBI.

Ethan Wells went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to lead Johnsonburg to a five-inning road win over Bradford.
The Rams took a 5-0 lead through two innings before plating four runs in the fourth and one in the fifth. Six other Jburg players recorded a hit and five had an RBI, while Camron Marciniak scored four runs.
Collin Martin struck out three batters and allowed five hits in four innings of work for Jburg, while Jefferson Freeburg struck out two in the fifth.
For Bradford, Austen Davis, Cam Austin and Michael Greenberg combined to allow 10 runs on eight hits. The trio tallied 11 walks and struck out two.
