Bradford man accused of
stealing furniture
A Bradford man is facing allegations that he stole furniture from the Highrise apartment building in Bradford.
Matthew C. Borza, 42, of 2 Bushnell St., Highrise, Apt. 225, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on a charge of theft by unlawful taking, a first-degree misdemeanor.
The criminal complaint states that on March 24, an employee of the McKean County Housing Authority contacted Bradford City Police about an alleged theft.
Video surveillance showed that at 2:21 a.m. March 24, Borza — a tenant in the building — removed a couch, chair and bookshelf from the community room, according to the complaint. Maintenance personnel later located the missing items in Borza’s room.
Borza was released on $2,000 unsecured bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.

NY woman jailed on felony warrant; new
charges pending
A woman from Great Valley, N.Y., is in McKean County Jail after she was arrested on a felony warrant and suspected of new allegations.
Little Angel Goodwill, 46, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Richard Luther on charges of forgery, a third-degree felony; false identification to a law enforcement official, a third-degree misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of DUI-controlled substance, misdemeanor; and summary driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
Those charges were filed in March 2020 for allegations from Nov. 28, 2019, in Foster Township. However, Foster Township Police indicated that new charges are pending from her alleged actions on Friday.
Foster Township Police reported that at 1:26 p.m. Friday, police officers, the Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department and the Bradford City Fire Department were dispatched to the area near 26 Foster Brook Blvd. for a report of an unconscious female sitting in a vehicle.
When one of the officers made contact with the woman — Goodwill — she woke up and provided a false name. However, the officer recognized her real identity and knew that she was wanted in Foster Township on a felony warrant, according to police.
Goodwill refused medical treatment but was later transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for a blood draw, as police suspected that she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police also obtained a search warrant for her vehicle. They allege that the search yielded not only drugs and drug paraphernalia, but also several hundred dollars worth of merchandise they believe to be stolen from Walmart.
Police stated that charges will be filed once they receive blood results.
Goodwill is jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for April 21.
