    HS Track and Field Roundup: Cameron Co. girls defeat O-E; Coudy sweeps Port A

    EMPORIUM — Morgan Lorenzo won three individual events and anchored a winning relay team to lead the Cameron County girls over Otto-Eldred.

    Lorenzo was victorious in the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles and triple jump, and finished out CC’s winning 400-meter relay lap.

    Mikenna Farabaugh added wins in the 800 and 1600-meter runs for the Red Raiders, while Aralyn Robinson scored victories in the 100 and 200-meter dashes.

    “(This is) the second week in a row that everyone went out and did what they were supposed to do,” Cameron County coach Shawn Bidwell said. “We’ve got low numbers, but everyone is doing their part and we’ve been successful.”

    O-E won the boys’ meet on the strength of three wins by Ryan Love.

    Love won the 100-meter dash, triple jump and long jump while contributing to O-E’s victorious 400-meter relay team.

    Josh Schuessler was a double-winner for the Terrors with victories in the 800 and 1600-meter runs, while Ethan Smith won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.

    Cameron County’s Conner Nolan took home three victories (shot put, discus and javelin).

    COUDERSPORT — Brandt Kightlinger and Dalton Keglovits each had four first-place finishes to lead the Coudersport boys past Port Allegany.

    Kightlinger won the long jump, triple jump and high jump while assisting on Coudy’s 1600-meter relay team, while Keglovits won the 400-meter dash and pole vault while assisting on the Falcons’ 1600 and 3200-meter relay teams.

    Kevin Sherry won the 1600 and 3200-meter runs while also assisting on Coudy’s 3200-meter relay team, while Josh Ross won the 100-meter dash and assisted on two victorious Falcon relays.

    Five Coudy girls won multiple events to lead the Lady Falcons over O-E, highlighted by Kylie Welsh’s victories in the 100-meter dash, long jump and 400-meter relay.

    Rosalyn Page added victories in the shot put, discus and 1600-meter relay, while Belle Porterfield won the 400-meter dash in addition to Coudy’s 1600 and 3200-meter relays.

    Sarah Chambers won the triple jump in addition to the Falcons’ 1600 and 3200-meter relays, while Madyson Dubots-Angood turned in two individual victories in the javelin throw and 3200-meter run.

    SHINGLEHOUSE — Northern Potter’s Courtney Martin took home wins in four different events to help lead the Lady Panthers past Oswayo Valley, while the boys also beat OV.

    Martin finished first in the 800, 1600 and 3200-meter runs as well as the javelin.

    Rylee Copp was a double-winner, posting wins in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, while Emily Ternes won both the 100 and 300 hurdles.

    For the boys, OV’s Hayden Skiver was a triple-winner, taking victories in the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes, while Mason Carpenter swept the throwing events.

    NoPo’s Sean Baker was a triple-winner for the Panthers, earning wins in the 800, 1600 and 3200-meter runs.

    Results from Sheffield were not available.
