There were no injuries and damage was contained to a single room in a blaze at 4:21 a.m. Monday at 305 Bolivar Drive in Foster Township.
According to Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department officials, initial reports called in to the McKean County 911 system indicated a working bedroom fire.
The first firefighter on scene reported a one-story residential home with flames visible from a window. All occupants were evacuated from the home.
Moderate smoke conditions were met inside the home, but the fire was knocked down quickly and contained to the single bedroom, officials reported. Firefighters ventilated and removed smoke from the structure while conducting overhaul.
Firefighters from Limestone, N.Y., volunteer fire department responded with an engine and crew to assist, and Bradford Township Volunteer Fire department was placed on standby for Derrick City. Assisting on the scene were Foster Township Police.
The cause and origin of the fire was investigated by Derrick City department officials and Foster Township police. It was determined the fire was accidental in nature.
There were 17 personnel on the scene for approximately an hour.
