It sure is windy out there.
So much so, in fact, that some metal flashing from the front of Northwest on Main Street came off and landed in the street. Staff from Kabob’s at the Option House pulled the metal back onto the sidewalk, and several people were on the sidewalk from those businesses when the awning in front of Kabob’s started to come apart.
Chef Icky quickly rolled the awning back. While people from several businesses were on the sidewalk, a sound like a helicopter could be heard. It was the American flag atop Emery Towers, whipping so hard in the wind that the flag was shredding.
Several reports of trees down have been coming in from around the county as well.
The National Weather Service said a wind advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. today.
