WORST: CandyStore.com has an annual list of the best and the worst Easter candy.
Here is what the website’s customers say is the worst, and we’re sure there will be a lot of disagreement on this list. There was in the newsroom.
Counting down from 10, generic jelly beans were on the “not” list. According to CandyStore, “people prefer higher qualify jelly beans these days.” Chocolate crosses made number 9 on the list. It’s not the chocolate that bothers folks, it’s the symbolism.
Number 8 is chicks and rabbits marshmallow candy, with people comparing them to circus peanuts. Number 7 is Easter candy corn. It seems like a version of candy corn makes the “worst candy” list with each season.
The perennial Pennsylvania favorite Peeps come in at number 6 on the list. Number 5 is Oreo creme eggs, with customers saying they were “runny and off-putting.”
Number 4 is one we’re not familiar with: Cheetos Sweetos cinnamon puffs. We’re thinking it can stay a mystery.
This next one just isn’t fair — solid chocolate bunnies were number 3. People said it was too much chocolate. What? Is that possible?
Number 2 is Sour Patch Kids white chocolate bunny, a new one on the list. Customers said the white chocolate was not a good mix with the sour taste.
And number one, the worst candy, was Cadbury Creme Eggs. It’s difficult to eat; it’s a sloppy mess; the chocolate isn’t good quality, the comments were. The winner of the best Easter candy was also Cadbury, with mini eggs. But that’s a story for another day.
