Bob Douglas has announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Bradford city controller.
A lifelong resident of Bradford, he is a graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School. He attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a BBA in Accounting. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.
He is currently the president of State Line Supply Inc., where he has worked for the last 31 years.
He has been active in City government and currently serves as chairman of the Bradford Sanitary Authority, secretary of the Bradford Water Authority, chairman of the McKean County Housing Authority, and the vice chairman of the Bradford City Planning Commission.
Other civic activities include member and past president of the Bradford Exchange club, treasurer of Evergreen Elm, past treasurer of the Bradford YWCA and past treasurer of the McKean and Potter counties chapter of the American Red Cross, past Master of Union Lodge #334 F& AM, past president of the McKean County Shrine Club.
