JOHNSONBURG — A second half rally paved the way for a Bradford comeback win as the Lady Owls bested Johnsonburg, 63-53, in the Paper City on Wednesday.
Trailing 34-24 at halftime, the Lady Owls erupted for 29 points in the second half en route to victory.
Hannah Lary, who was the game’s top scorer with a career-high 29 points, including seven treys, was one of many players who came up big for Bradford during the second half, scoring 16 points in the third quarter.
Complementing Lary was Alanna Benson, who scored 10 of her 13 points in the fourth to help the Lady Owls (4-8) seal the victory, snapping a three-game skid. Freshman Kalie Dixon also came through for the team with a season-best 14 points.
Also aiding the team and providing quality minutes were Sierra Taylor, Abbi Schleicher and Carli Persichini.
Overall, Bradford outscored Jburg 21-9 in the third and 18-10 in the fourth.
“Pretty spirited effort in the second half by our girls,” Bradford coach Bob Hannon said. “It was a really good win…They feel really good about themselves right now.”
Kaci Stelene was Jburg’s (2-10) leading scorer with 22 points, while Annasophia Stauffer tallied 12.

Cameron County 46, St. Marys 42
ST. MARYS — Cameron County avenged its previous defeat by St. Marys with a narrow win over the Lady Dutch (10-3) on Wednesday.
The Lady Raiders (11-8) were able to limit their turnovers and gain control of the boards en route to victory, led by Hailey Hilfiger’s 14 points and Kaelee Bresslin’s 12. Hilfiger also recorded 11 rebounds, while Morgan Lorenzo brought down 10 and also finished 4-for-4 from the field.
Bresslin also chipped in six assists and sank eight of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter, while Reggie Goodrow was 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Samantha Hayes finished with a team-high 11 points for St. Marys, while Isabelle Caskey and Kyla Johnson each had nine.

KANE — Mark Kraus and Mason McAllister finished in double figures to lead Elk Catholic to a 10-point win over Kane.
In a tight game, ECC led by just five points heading into the fourth before holding the Wolves (5-4) with a 17-point fourth quarter. Kraus scored even of his team-high 12 points in the fourth, while McAllister and Luke Jansen combined for eight in the same quarter. Jansen and Charlie Breindl each finished with nine points for the Crusaders (14-3).
Carson Whiteman scored a game-high 18 for Kane, 12 of which were scored during the fourth.

PORT ALLEGANY — Otto-Eldred captured its sixth win in the last seven games by topping Port Allegany on the road Wednesday.
The Terrors (6-8) jumped out to a 23-11 lead after the first before they were held to just four points in the second, allowing Port to close the gap and trail by just two at halftime.
O-E persisted and after leading by just two points going into the fourth, managed to outscore the Gators, 11-4, in the game’s final period for the victory.
Jake Merry, who scored a game-high 22 points, scored nine of the Terrors’ 11 fourth quarter points.
Dominic Guerrero paced Port (3-9) with a team-high 12 points, while Carter Moses added 10. Moses also hauled in seven rebounds.

JOHNSONBURG — Three Rams finished in double figures as Johnsonburg defeated arch rival Ridgway.
Gabe Watts paced Jburg (11-3) with 14 points, while Eric Christoff added 11 points and Cam Stelene had 10 points. Christoff connected on three 3-pointers in the win.
The Rams led 11-7 after the first quarter before taking a commanding 25-11 lead into halftime.
Ridgway (4-6) was paced by Dan Park’s seven points.
