Republican Cindi Frederick has announced her candidacy for Bradford City Council.
An 18-year resident of Bradford, Frederick said this is her third bid for council.
“I have seen many ups and down in Bradford over the years. Lately, it seems we are on an upward trend toward improving our wonderful city. I would like an opportunity to serve the residents of our city by helping to improve things in our city,” she said.
Frederick said she wants to see where cuts can be made to save money while at the same time beautifying Bradford.
“I would love the opportunity to work with our mayor, members of our city council, and all of our great city employees,” she said.
Born in West Virginia, Frederick spent her childhood in Aliquippa, Pa., and New Port Richey, Fla. From there she relocated to Wisconsin before moving to Bradford in 2003.
She has worked for Crosby’s, Walmart, and Rite Aid in Olean, N.Y., where she is currently a shift supervisor.
She has six adult sons, two adult stepsons and grandchildren.
“Your consideration for voting me to be a team player on our city council is greatly appreciated,” she said.
