CAMP HILL — The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation is hosting a free virtual presentation about mammals at noon Thursday.
The presentation will be given by Melinda Maker, environmental education specialist with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and will stream live to the foundation’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
An in-depth presentation about the mammals living in Pennsylvania, many of which can be found in our state parks and forests, is sure to be informative and enlightening. Viewers will have an opportunity to ask questions during the program using the chat function of the platforms. Maker is currently an educator at Little Buffalo State Park, Joseph E. Ibberson Conservation Areas, and Boyd Big Tree Preservation Conservation Area. Marker is experienced and knowledgeable on conservation and wilderness topics.
The foundation’s Lunch and Learn series launched in 2020 and provides information on a variety of environmental and conservation focused topics. Past presentations are available to view on PPFF’s Facebook and YouTube Channel. It is supported by a grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Community Conservation and Partnership Program and by Recreational Equipment, Inc.
