The region reported 51 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, showing a continued trend in declining numbers.
As of Tuesday, Pennsylvania had 714,243 confirmed cases and 98,252 probable cases of COVID-19. The state has conducted 3,579,851 negative tests and has had 20,883 deaths.
Locally, McKean County reported 44 additional cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, with 2,612 cases of COVID-19, 1,947 of those confirmed cases and 665 probable. There have been 8,771 negative tests to date. The county also reported an additional death from coronavirus, bringing the total to 55.
In Elk County, three new cases were reported, bringing the total to 2,067 cases, 1,137 confirmed and 930 probable. There have been 4,971 negative tests conducted. The county has reported 32 deaths, an increase of one from Monday.
Potter County has one new case of coronavirus, increasing their total to 806 cases; 711 confirmed and 95 probable cases. There have been 2,846 negative tests. The county has reported 18 deaths to date.
In Cameron County three additional cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing the total to 232, 160 confirmed cases and 72 probable. The county has recorded 856 negative tests performed. There have been 7 deaths due to COVID-19 as of Tuesday.
The COVID-19 case breakdown in McKean County is as follows: Bradford has 788 confirmed cases and 150 probable; Lewis Run has 89 confirmed cases and 321 probable; Derrick City has 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19; Rew has 23 confirmed cases and Gifford has 14 confirmed cases; Kane has 274 confirmed cases and 68 probable cases; Mount Jewett has 43 confirmed cases and 13 probable; Smethport has 269 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 33 probable while Crosby has 6 confirmed cases; Rixford has 32 confirmed cases and 5 probable; Duke Center has 25 confirmed cases and 6 probable; Eldred has 113 confirmed cases and 19 probable; Port Allegany has 169 confirmed cases and 14 probable; Turtlepoint has 14 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
In Elk County, St. Marys has reported 513 confirmed cases and 393 probable; Johnsonburg has 117 confirmed cases and 64 probable; Ridgway currently has 251 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 152 probable; Weedville has 59 confirmed cases and 37 probable and Wilcox has 27 confirmed cases and 27 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport has 282 confirmed cases and 43 probable; Austin has 61 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 20 probable; Galeton has 61 confirmed cases; Ulysses has 50 confirmed cases and Genesee has 58 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In Cameron County, Emporium has 139 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 60 probable cases.
A look at coronavirus cases in long-term care facilities found that McKean County has nine facilities with cases of COVID-19, 347 among residents and 102 among staff. There have been 30 deaths to date due to coronavirus.
Elk County has three facilities dealing with 117 cases of coronavirus among residents and 49 among staff. Seven deaths have been reported.
Potter County has three facilities with reported cases of COVID-19, 34 among residents and 15 among staff. To date, there have been no reported deaths due to COVID-19 at these facilities.
Cameron County has one facility dealing with coronavirus, with 33 cases among the residents and 9 among the staff. There has been one reported death at the facility due to COVID-19.
