McKean County saw 198 additional cases of COVID-19 reported over the weekend.
Notably, McKean County was the site of a free drive-thru testing clinic from Wednesday through Sunday — the only time testing was so readily available in the county since the start of the pandemic. Organizers of the clinic estimated the turnaround time for test results to be 2-7 days.
After the new cases were reported Saturday and Sunday, McKean County’s new total is 2,547. There have been 1,916 confirmed and 631 probable cases, and 8,728 negative tests. There are 4 new deaths, for a total of 54.
Elk County saw an increase of 27 cases for 2,058 total, 1,131 confirmed and 927 probable. There have been 4,936 negative tests and 2 more deaths for a total of 31.
In Potter County, the case count increased by 8 for a total of 799: 705 confirmed and 94 probable. There are 2,828 negative tests, and no new deaths means the total remains at 17.
Cameron County saw an increase of 4 cases to 228 total: 158 confirmed and 70 probable. There have been 853 negative tests and 1 new death for a total of 7.
There were 121 additional cases in Lewis Run, for a total of 272 confirmed and 68 probable; in Bradford, 23 more, 773 confirmed, 149 probable; in Kane, 3 more, 272 confirmed, 68 probable; in Smethport, 8 more, 261 confirmed, 33 probable; Cyclone, 1 more, 17 confirmed, 8 probable; Gifford, at least 2 more, 14 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Crosby, at least 1 more, 6 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Port Allegany, 6 more, 167 confirmed, 14 probable; Turtlepoint, at least 1 more, 14 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Rixford, 1 more, 32 confirmed, 5 probable; Derrick City, at least 1 more, 12 confirmed, 1-4 probable; and Eldred, 12 more, 113 confirmed, 19 probable.
St. Marys had 20 more cases, bringing the total to 511 confirmed and 392 probable; Wilcox, 1 more, 26 confirmed, 27 probable; Ridgway, 9 more, 251 confirmed, 151 probable; Johnsonburg, 6 more, 116 confirmed, 64 probable; Weedville, 1 more, 59 confirmed, 36 probable; Benezette, at least 1 more, 7 confirmed, 1-4 probable; and Byrnedale, at least 1 more, 5 confirmed, 5 probable.
Coudersport had 4 more, for 281 confirmed and 43; Roulette, at last 6 more, 39 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Shinglehouse, 2 more, 118 confirmed, 21 probable; Genesee, 2 more, 57 confirmed; Harrison Valley, 25 confirmed, 5 probable; Ulysses, at least 1 more, 50 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Galeton, at least 1 more, 61 confirmed, 1-4 probable; and Cross Fork, at least 1 more, 1-4 confirmed, 1-4 probable.
Emporium had 6 more, for 138 confirmed and 58 probable; Driftwood, at least 1 more, 7 confirmed, 1-4 probable; and Sinnemahoning, at least 6 more, 6 confirmed, 1-4 probable.
Statewide on Saturday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an additional 5,785 positive cases for a total of 799,957. There were 205 more deaths for a total of 20,526.
Also as of Saturday, there were 4,169 people hospitalized with COVID-19, and 822 of those people were in the intensive care unit.
Statewide percent positivity for the week of Jan. 15-21 decreased to 10.5%.
As of Friday, there have been 626,532 doses of vaccine administered in Pennsylvania. Of the people who have received vaccinations, 413,450 have received one dose and 106,541 have received two doses.
