Following the Thanksgiving break, the Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League resumed competition by playing online due to the pandemic.
Different playing platforms and schedules have delayed receiving some results, but these are the latest data for the first three rounds: Dr. Gonzalez’s team leads the junior varsity division, and Beefeaters’ team is in first in the varsity division at the end of round 3.
Half a point behind in the varsity division are the teams of the Main Street Movie House, Wood Chiropractic and E&M Engineers & Surveyors — all tied for second. Three JV teams are also tied for second: Troisi CPA, Bysiek CPA and the Williams Agency.
Top individual scorers for board one in the junior varsity are Jamin Bell (captain for Dr. Gonzalez) and Ewan Bell (captain for Dr. Wojcik). Other top players in JV action include Sylvia Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA), Owen Tingley (playing for Dr. Gonzalez), Lucas Wallace (member of the Williams Agency) and Andon Troisi (member of Troisi CPA).
Top scorers in varsity are Mike Jones (captain of Wood Chiropractic), followed by Tamara Gennadievna (captain for Prestige) in second. Chris Bishop (playing for Beefeaters) is in first place for board two. Keith Adkins (Hennard) and Ed Bysiek (Movie House) are tied for second.
