Kane pair charged with entering commercial vehicles

KANE — A Kane man was arraigned Friday on allegations that he and another man entered numerous commercial vehicles in Kane Borough with the intent to go “joy riding,” according to police.

Zachery T. Frontera, 25, of 410 Bayard St., is charged with 14 counts of unauthorized use of motor vehicles, second-degree misdemeanors; and one count each of harassment and criminal trespass, summary offenses. Robert A. Williams, 22, of Kane, is facing the same charges.

According to the criminal complaint, Frontera and Williams allegedly entered into commercial vehicles belonging to Johnson Trucking, Zook Motors and Generations Forestry. When police interviewed the pair, they said their intentions were “to go joy riding in a vehicle,” the complaint stated.

Frontera was arraigned before District Judge David Engman and released on $2,500 bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 12.

Information on Williams’ arraignment was not immediately available. Online court dockets indicate a preliminary hearing is scheduled for him on Nov. 16.
