Fire at RJ Lawncare and RJ Notary ruled accidental

LEWIS RUN — A fire that destroyed a one-story commercial structure that housed RJ Lawncare and RJ Notary in Smethport was ruled accidental.

Lewis Run-based state police reported that the fire occurred at 11 a.m. Friday at 104 E. Water St. in Smethport Borough. No one was injured.

A Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal and Smethport Police Department investigated the cause and ruled the fire to be accidental. Damage was estimated at $250,000, police stated.
